I have grand ideas of when (and if) I ever run a church. I would like to run throughout the church a program to learn biblical hermeneutics. I think that we’ve gotten to where we tell our youths what to know and not how to learn. The problem is that with the greying of the church, many youths are leaving the body of the church. It would be great to teach people how to read the Bible so that wherever they are, they will be able to have some glimmer of God’s Word. One book to teach would be Stuart and Fee’s How to Read the Bible For All Its Worth. That seems an excellent book to teach finding a good translation, as well as learn to understand biblical hermeneutics.
